Theological / Devotional

To David unto Hebron. Verses 1-9 of chapter 11 are parallel to 2 Samuel 5:1-10. The record passes rapidly over David’s reign at Hebron (1 Chronicles 3:4), coming immediately to his glorious reign at Jerusalem. The tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron on the occasion of Ish-bosheth’s death (2 Samuel 4:5-12 ; 5:1).
