Second degree. That is, musicians of the second order (see chapter 16:5).
Ben. A transliteration of the Hebrew word for “son.” It is missing in several Hebrew manuscripts, and the LXX does not account for it in its translation. Some think that “Bani” (chapter 6:46) is intended.
