Theological / Devotional

Saw the angel. Compare Numbers 22:31, which reports Balaam’s eyes being opened to see the angel of the Lord standing in the way.

Drawn sword. The same description is given of the angel who stood in the way to intercept Balaam (Numbers 22:23).
