Theological / Devotional

It is written. The quotation is from Isa. 29:14, agreeing more nearly with the LXX than with the Hebrew. Paul is giving scriptural evidence for his observation in 1 Cor. 1:18. All the efforts of men to find a way of salvation through human philosophy and godless thinking will be rejected by the Lord and brought to nought.
