Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

Faithful. Gr.pistos, “trusty,” “dependable,” “that can be relied upon.” The quality of dependability is one of the most valuable assets a man can have. It is highly esteemed by God. Failure in this respect means failure to qualify for eternal life (see Luke 16:10-12; COL 356). Only those will receive an inheritance in the new earth who can be relied upon by God under all circumstances. We prove ourselves faithful stewards by continually seeking to glorify God in all the details of our lives.
