Theological / Devotional

Let every man abide. See on v. 24. Men are advised to continue in the condition or circumstances of life in which they are when they respond to the call of Jesus to serve Him. The acceptance of Christ and His way of life does not give one the authority to rebel against the existing order of things and to seek to escape from his environment or task unless there is a conflict between these and the principles of truth. Paul illustrates his point in v. 21.
