Theological / Devotional

So then. This verse sums up the discussion of vs. 36, 37. It is not wrong to give a daughter in marriage, or for a young man to marry his betrothed, nor is it sinful to remain unmarried.

Doeth better. That is, in the light of the “present distress” (see on v. 26).
