Theological / Devotional

Jehoshaphat. According to the system of chronology adopted for use in this commentary, Jehoshaphat reigned with Asa for a period before his father’s death. Evidently Asa’s declining health caused him to associate his son with him on the throne to assist in carrying the responsibilities of state.
