Seven days. Reigns of less than a year in length are often given in terms of days or months (2 Kings 15:8, 13; 23:31; 24:8; 2 Chron. 36:2, 9).

Against Gibbethon. Twenty-four years before, Baasha had smitten Nadab while he was fighting against Gibbethon (ch. 15:27).
