Theological / Devotional

A morsel of bread. It was the Lord who prompted the prophet to make this request for bread. He knew exactly the situation that prevailed — the dire poverty of the widow and the prophet’s need for bread. Being in such desperate need herself, would the widow feel she was able to deny her own son in order to give to a stranger from another land?
