Commentary on 1 Kings 17:15

Theological / Devotional

Eat many days. She ate because she believed the promise of God. Thousands about her, those who trusted in Baal, were starving. When the call came to give, she had only enough left for one last meal for herself and son. But when she had given, she had enough for herself and all her house, and for the prophet as well, for many days. She found life and blessing because of her faith. “There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth” (Prov. 11:24).
