Now thou sayest. Obadiah had no desire to bring about the death of Elijah, which he was certain would be the prophet’s fate if he took him to the king. But if he did not deliver Elijah to Ahab, he was certain that he himself would die. Did Elijah wish to bring about the death of a man who had saved the lives of 100 prophets?
