Theological / Devotional

Obadiah. The name means “servant of Jehovah.” The character of the man was in keeping with the meaning of his name. It is significant that the king would keep a man in so important an office whom he knew to be a servant of the Lord. But Ahab knew that this man who was faithful to God would also be faithful in administering the affairs of the royal household.
