Very jealous. Elijah could not get over the fact that he had been very earnest in his work for the Lord, and yet people were seeking to take his life. This world is the enemy’s land, and many men and women are in the enemy’s service. God’s children must realize that in the great controversy Satan’s way must not be entirely hedged, lest the warfare be unfairly waged, and Satan be able to say that he was not given a fair opportunity. To be irritated and ill at ease because things are not according to his liking is hardly the wise attitude for a saint or the proper attitude for a prophet.
