Commentary on 1 Kings 6:22

Theological / Devotional

He overlaid. He overlaid not only the interior of the holy place and the holy of holies with gold, but also the interior of the porch in front of the house (2 Chron. 3:4).

The side chambers were not included, since they did not form part of “the house,” or the Temple proper.
