Commentary on 1 Kings 7:12

Theological / Devotional

The great court. The entire palace complex seems to have been enclosed within a large court, with probably smaller courts for the various public or private buildings. The walls were of three rows of stones, with a cedar coping, similar to the walls of the Temple court (ch. 6:36).
