Theological / Devotional

Thou didst well. David’s purpose was good, even though it was not entirely in accord with the will of God. It was God’s will that a temple be built, but because David had been a man of war, it was not the Lord’s wish that David should be the builder (1 Chron. 22:7, 8; 1 Chron. 28:3).
