Theological / Devotional

I must die. Jonathan had excellent justification for his acts, yet he spoke the truth and submitted himself to the mandates of the king. In what better way could he have condemned his father for disobeying the mandates of the King of kings? Saul, before Samuel, had justified his actions in open rebellion, but Jonathan had justified his day’s conduct by submission to the rash judgment of his father.
