His mother. Hannah not only offered her son to the Lord but showed her love for him year by year. In the same way the Lord continually watches over His people. He not only gave His Son once for all but continually interests Himself in making that sacrifice progressively more effective in meeting the needs of even the weakest of His children (Matt. 6:30-34).
