Theological / Devotional

Three days and three nights. Since the lad had the information concerning the burning of Ziklag (v. 14), the destruction must have taken place at least three days previously, for three days ago he had been abandoned by the pitiless tribesmen (v. 13). The time was sufficient to enable the marauders to make their escape and to hide themselves in the trackless desert.
