The brook Besor. Thought to be the stream running past Gerar and emptying into the Mediterranean near Gaza. Its distance from Ziklag cannot be determined, for it is not known whether the northernmost or southernmost branch of the brook is referred to. Furthermore, the exact site of Ziklag is unknown.
