Theological / Devotional

Returned to Ekron. What an anticlimax for the Philistines They had witnessed the surrender of Dagon to the Lord in the temple at Ashdod. They had witnessed the supernatural guidance of the kine as they sent the ark back to Judah. They were yet to witness the restraining power of God in halting the epidemic and giving them healing. Though satisfied that they had seen strange things that day, they turned and went back to their gods and to their people.
