Commentary on 2 Chronicles 16:8

Theological / Devotional

The Ethiopians and the Lubims. The Lubims, or Libyans, were at this time the rulers of Egypt. Zerah was an “Ethiopian” (see on ch. 14:9).

Rely on the Lord. The prophet is citing Asa’s own experience in the victory over Zerah as an evidence of the truth of his words.
