Theological / Devotional

Against Jerusalem. Sennacherib purposed to come against Jerusalem, but he was bought off for the time being by tribute (see on 2 Kings 18:14-16). It is noteworthy that in his record of the campaign Sennacherib does not claim that he captured Jerusalem.
