Theological / Devotional

Removed. The LXX reads, “prepared.” The burnt offerings were to be treated in an entirely different manner from the Passover offerings. The Passover lamb was to be roasted whole (Ex. 12:8, 9), while the burnt offering was to be cut in pieces (Lev. 1:12) and burned entire. The peace offerings were to have certain parts removed for the priest (Lev. 7:29-34).
