Theological / Devotional

Many glory. “Many” in the Corinthian church were apparently impressed by glorying “after the flesh,” that is, by emphasis on ancestry, rank, reputation, and similar external advantages. They did so from selfish motives; but Paul’s motives were worthy.

After the flesh. That is, after things that appeal to worldly-minded men.
