Theological / Devotional

Mind of the Lord. The first part of this verse is a quotation from Isa. 40:13. No unregenerate man can understand the divine operations; hence he is not in a position to teach the spiritual man, who is under the tuition of the Holy Spirit. Mind of Christ. We are, by the Spirit, united to Christ, for the Holy Spirit’s presence is the same as the presence of Jesus (see John 14:16-19); therefore we “have the mind of Christ” (see Phil. 2:5). By the Holy Spirit Jesus dwells in the believer and works in and through him (Gal. 2:20; Eph. 3:17; Phil. 2:13).
