Look even out the best. That is exactly what these men would be expected to do. Since Joram had been slain, the nobles who were the guardians of the princes would naturally select a successor for the throne. Jehu conveys the impression that that is exactly what he is looking for them to do and that that is the situation he is prepared to meet.
