Theological / Devotional

Joash. This Joash of Israel is sometimes called Jehoash (vs. 10, 25; 14:8-17). The fact that he was born during the reign of Joash of Judah, suggests that he may have been named after that ruler, and if so, this would indicate a period of close friendship between the two nations.
