Commentary on 2 Kings 15:30

Theological / Devotional

Made a conspiracy. Tiglath-pileser III claims that it was he who placed Hoshea upon the throne of Israel (see on v. 29). Probably Hoshea was forced to recognize the suzerainty of the Assyrian king before he was permitted to take the throne in Israel.
