All the commandments. Sin grows like a cancer. When a person begins to disobey one of the commands of the Lord, he soon will find himself venturing farther into pathways of disobedience. When the Israelites turned from God and began serving idols, they soon found themselves breaking all the commandments of the Lord. A contemporary prophet decried their defections, “There is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood” (Hosea 4:1, 2).

Molten images. This verse enumerates the various types of idolatry to which Israel had fallen a prey. There were few gods then worshiped in Palestine which did not also have some worshipers among the people of Israel.
