Theological / Devotional

Of Hamath. For the identification of the sites referred to in this verse see on ch. 18:34. In that reference the helplessness of the gods of these cities is emphasized. Now in addressing Hezekiah, the emphasis is upon the fact that the kings of these cities are no more.
