Theological / Devotional

In peace. There are times when even death is a blessing. In mercy God would allow Josiah to go to his grave before Judah was involved in final ruin. Josiah himself was slain in battle (ch. 23:29), but his death spared him from witnessing the terrible calamity a few years later.
