Theological / Devotional

Against Rabbah. The account of Joab’s siege of Rabbah (ch. 11:1) had been interrupted by the account of David’s experience with Bath-sheba. Now the account of the siege of Ammon’s capital city is resumed. The narrative of David’s adultery with Bath-sheba and the murder of Uriah (2 Sam. 11:2 to 12:25) is not in Chronicles.
