Theological / Devotional

His mule. David apparently rode upon a mule (1 Kings 1:33, 38), and so also did Absalom (2 Samuel 18:9). Thus the mule seems to have been the animal that at this time was ridden by persons of distinction.

Fled. When Amnon was slain, David’s other sons no doubt feared that this was only the beginning of a general massacre in which they too would be victims.
