Theological / Devotional

Kissed him. Absalom employed every art by which he might win the hearts of the people to himself. By his affability and extreme courtesy and by an air of assumed affection he caused the people to think that he was genuinely interested in their welfare and would, if king, give them an administration that would ensure to each individual the full enjoyment of all his rights.
