Let him take all. Mephibosheth sought to impress David that his purpose in coming to him was not to secure redress but to demonstrate his loyalty, that he was willing that Ziba retain everything, however unjust that might be. The important consideration was that David had returned in peace, and for this Mephibosheth expressed his gratefulness.
