Theological / Devotional

His men. The 600 who had gone with David to Achish (1 Samuel 27:2, 3). Many of them were married, and they came with their families and possessions, including their flocks and herds.

Cities of Hebron. Hebron had evidently given its name to the district in which the city was located, as Samaria was the term used for the country around the city of Samaria.
