Theological / Devotional

Living in widowhood. The tragic fate of David’s ten concubines was obviously the result of Absalom’s shameful deed carried out at the suggestion of Ahithophel (ch. 16:21). The women would continue to be housed and fed as long as they lived, but to all intents and purposes their husband was dead to them.
