For thou art my lamp. “Thou wilt light my candle” (Ps. 18:28). This verse introduces another section of the psalm (2 Sam. 22:29-46) in which David tells what the Lord has done and will do for him (see Ps. 132:17; 1 Kings 11:36 ; 15:4).
