Theological / Devotional

Given me the necks. Or “given me the back of the necks.” The expression means that the enemies had been put to flight before him, having turned their backs on him. Compare, “I will make all thine enemies turn their backs [Hebrew, “necks”] unto thee” (Ex. 23:27).
