He sought me. Perhaps Onesiphorus was a prominent member of the Ephesian church, probably a merchant, who made business trips to Rome. However, to try to find Paul was a hazardous undertaking because, after the fire of Rome, all Christians were suspect.

Very diligently. There was nothing casual about Onesiphorus’ attempt to reach Paul.
