Theological / Devotional

An upper room. Rather, “the upper room.” Not in the Temple (Luke 24:53), where the disciples still worshiped (cf. Acts 3:1), but in the upper story of a private house, under the flat roof, where there would be seclusion (see on Matt. 26:18; Mark 14:15; Luke 24:33; John 20:19).
