The third day. This is an example of inclusive reckoning of a time period.

Shewed him openly. Literally, “gave Him to be manifest,” that is, “made Him manifest.” Christ was not openly shown, but by many proofs it was made clear to those who saw Him that He was the same Jesus, now alive and glorified, who had hung on the cross.
