Some of those who were prevented, undoubtedly turned from these “vanities” to serve the living God. In any case, Paul no doubt labored at Lystra long enough to permit the establishment of a church there. The Jewess Lois, together with her daughter Eunice and her grandson Timothy, was doubtless among the first converts (2 Tim. 1:5; see on Acts 16:1).
