Theological / Devotional

Some were hardened and did not believe. Unbelieving Jews at Ephesus acted as at Thessalonica, speaking evil of Christians and Christianity, probably trying to turn Gentiles against Paul. People of lower classes were ready to riot. Paul ceased participating in synagogue services and separated the disciples, withdrawing the Christian part of the congregation. This is the first recorded time the entire Christian group severed connection with the Jewish synagogue, a process accelerated during the Jewish wars (A.D. 68-135) when association with Jews became dangerous.
