Theological / Devotional

Hardly. That is, with difficulty (cf. v. 7). The fair havens. In the Greek there is no definite article. The town is not mentioned elsewhere in literature but still bears the same name. It is on the southern coast of Crete, about 5 mi. (8 km.) east of Cape Matala, the chief headland on the south coast of the island. It is now known as Limenes Kali. Lasea. The ruins of this city have been identified a few miles east of Fair Havens.
