Theological / Devotional

Straightway. Her death was as immediate as that of her husband.

Yielded up the ghost. See on v. 5.

Found her dead. In fulfillment of Peter’s prophecy.

Buried her. There was no funeral ceremony on the occasion of this double tragedy, whatever care may have been given to the dead at other times (cf. Luke 23:55, 56).
