Theological / Devotional

Found no sustenance. Rather, “could not find sustenance.” The word translated “sustenance” is generally used for “fodder” for cattle (see LXX of Gen. 24:25, 32). But more than food for cattle was affected by the famine, and therefore the term must be taken as applying to food for both man and beast.
