So two [or] three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

Amos 4:8 — KJV

Theological / Devotional

Two or three cities. Because of the lack of rain there was a great scarcity of water, which fact made it necessary to go great distances to get it.

Wandered. Literally, “wavered,” or “moved unsteadily.” This indicates the exhausted condition of the people because of thirst.
